Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Careermaxxing ("we", "us") collects when you use the product, and how it's used. Information we collect

Account & profile information — your email address and authentication identifiers (via Supabase Auth, including OAuth sign-in through Google or GitHub if you choose that option), your plan/tier, and credit balance.

Uploaded resumes and job descriptions — the resume files/text you upload and any job posting text or URL you provide are stored so you can return to your analyses, match results, and generated content. Treat any resume you upload as data you are choosing to share with us for the purpose of generating your analysis.

Generated AI outputs — analysis results, match results, tailored resumes, interview prep content, roadmaps, and similar generated content are stored against your account so they persist across sessions.

Usage analytics — we record privacy-safe product analytics events (e.g. which feature was used, whether an action succeeded or failed, and coarse metadata like route/component names). These events are deliberately restricted to never include resume text, job description text, email addresses, phone numbers, API keys, AI prompts, or raw AI responses — only short labels, counts, and status/reason codes.

Payment processing — paid plans, passes, and top-ups are processed through Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card/payment instrument details — those are handled directly by Razorpay. We store the outcome of a purchase (amount, plan/pack purchased, status, and Razorpay's own order/payment/refund identifiers) to maintain your entitlement and purchase history.

Logs, security & fraud prevention — like most web applications, our infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase) generates operational logs (timestamps, request metadata, error traces) used for debugging, abuse prevention, and keeping the service reliable and secure.

AI providers

Generating your analysis, match results, tailored resume, interview prep, and roadmap requires sending your resume/job-description text to a third-party AI provider for processing. Careermaxxing currently uses Anthropic (Claude) in production, with Google Gemini and Groq used only for internal testing (never for real user data in production). These providers process the text to return a response; they are not used to advertise to you or to build a profile of you outside of generating your requested output.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal data, resume content, or job description content to third parties.

Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of infrastructure/processing partners to operate the product: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Razorpay (payment processing), and the AI provider(s) described above. Each processes data only as needed to provide their respective service to us.

Data retention & deletion

We do not currently offer automated data purge or self-service account deletion. If you would like your account data reviewed, exported, or deleted, contact us using the method below and we will handle it manually. Your responsibility for sensitive information

Resumes sometimes contain sensitive personal details beyond what's needed for a job application (for example a photo, date of birth, national ID numbers, or health/family information depending on local resume conventions). You are responsible for reviewing what you upload and removing anything you don't want processed or stored. Avoid including government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information in any resume you upload to Careermaxxing.
